Abstract- Microstrip
antenna is one of the planar antenna types
that have eminency are light weight, low profile, conformal or easily mounted,
easy in fabrication, portable and easy to integrate with other devices. One way
to increase the gain of microstrip antenna is arrayed. In this research, we
have performed the calculation, simulation, implementation and measurement of triangular
microstrip antenna at a frequency of 1805 - 1880 MHz. This antenna is composed
of four triangular patch elements to meet the needs of the gain 6 dB greater
than the gain of one element and feeds using microstrip transmission line with
the Dolph Chebyshev current distribution. Air slot between two a substrate is
used to satisfy bandwidth requirements. Dimensional
simulation results using CST Microwave Studio Version 2010 are implemented and
printed above on Epoxy FR-4 substrate. From the simulation results obtained antenna
bandwidth is 176 MHz for a maximum of SWR 1.5, the gain is 10.8 dB and side
lobe level of -13 dB, while the measurement results obtained bandwidth of 182.2
MHz for a maximum of SWR is 1.5, the gain is 8.1 dB and side lobe level of -13
dB.
